What is the Best Solution For Low Clearance Autos?
As an experienced enclosed auto hauler, we can tell you that Race Ramps are an Excellent solution to low clearance vehicles. We have used the 11 foot Race ramps with 11 inches of lift and have been able to load vehicles into our trailers with less than 1.5 inches of clearance. Another thing to watch for is low rocker panels, or low exhaust underneath the car. In our experience these pose a greater challenge.
Lift gate trailers are also a great asset when it comes to high value, low profile sports cars. -

Is There a Load Condition Report that is Taken Prior to Transport?
Yes. A full condition report is filled out at the time the vehicle is picked up, and a copy is then given to you for your records. Many carriers use a program now called Super Dispatch that allows the carrier to take photos, document damages and email bills of lading all from their phones. Be sure to look over what they documented and have them email you a copy before signing. Don't take the Bill of lading document lightly, this is an important document that serves as an official record as to the condition of your auto prior to transport. Any insurance company that you submit a claim to in the event of damages will require a properly filled out and signed bill of lading to process the claim.

Is Service Door to Door?
Service is always assumed to be door to door unless the pick up or drop off location is simply prohibitive to a large truck. Do not confuse auto-haulers with moving trucks, mail trucks, landscaping trailers, or other types of box trucks. These are very long setups whether it is a Semi Truck and a nine car hauler or a dually pickup and a 3 car enclosed trailer. They simply cannot maneuver in the same fashion that other trucks are able to do. If you live on a tight street, a dirt road, or some other hard to get to location, we highly recommend selecting a meeting point that provides easy access for a semi truck, as well as flat ground ideal for loading your auto. Furthermore, you will find yourself dealing with a very appreciative driver, who after all is hauling your prized possession across the country.

Is it Safe to Deal Directly with Auto Transport Carriers?
Contrary to what you may hear or read on a broker website, it is much, much safer to deal directly with trucking companies. You will find the trucking company to be more honest, upfront, and realistic with their projections than you will ever experience from a brokerage firm. Brokers nearly unanimously exist on lies, and false promises that they have no capacity to meet. At the end of the day it is the trucking companies who are arranging pickup, loading your auto, driving it across the country safely, and delivering it directly to you. Not only that, but brokerage firms have no skin in the game, if any incident occurs while in transport, it is the carrier's cargo insurance that covers your auto, not the brokerage firm. So the question you might find yourself asking is, what does a broker do anyway? We will get back to you when we have an answer.

Do You Guarantee Pickup or Delivery Times?
No company, broker, or facilitator of transport loads can guarantee anything. The only company who can give you as close to a guarantee as possible if of course the actual trucking company hauling your load. If you have specific requests, please submit those in the notes with your order and we will make sure your requests are made clear to carriers who may be interested in hauling your auto. However with that being said, guarantees are difficult to obtain in the auto-hauling world, and almost always require higher premiums.
Please remember that brokers cannot promise, guarantee, or provide certainty to anything they claim. The moment that they do, you can be sure they are lying straight to your face. They own no trucks, and have no ability to guarantee you anything whatsoever. The only thing they can do is give you an estimate or a projection. We are no different. We do our very best to provide you with the most realistic expectations based on the price you have selected, and the data you have provided. Higher prices will almost always move autos faster, and lower prices will virtually always result in longer shipping times. -

Can I put items in my car ?
If you need, or want to put items in your vehicle, please let us know, and be sure to the let the carrier know as well. Trucking companies have to manage weight on their trailers, so additional weight could put them over legal limits. Typically, 100-300 pounds is no big deal, but still it needs to be cleared with us, and with the carrier who transports your car. Sometimes a trucking company will want a little extra money for hauling the extra goods, but that is typically never more than $50-100.

How does your shipping process work exactly?
Our shipping process is very straight forward.
First, you'll request a quote for the shipment of your car. We will generate a quote for you by researching the "live" market rates in real time. These aren't random numbers like you'll get from other sites either, these are the true, live, market rates being paid to trucking companies right now. We will then get back to you, usually within minutes to hours of your request, and we will give you a range as to where the market currently is for the region / type of car / time frame / etc, that you have selected.
Secondly, you'll pay a one time fee of usually $89, or $125, to have us begin arranging the shipment of your car. The fee is fully refundable for any reason if you are at all un-satisfied with our service.
Thirdly, we will present you with real offers from real trucking outfits to move your car. You can elect to accept an offer, or decline an offer, it's entirely up to you. We will give you all of the data we have on the carrier company, including photos, the DOT number, insurance documents, and other essential information. In this way, you , as the consumer can make an informed decision as to if you would like to have a particular company move your car. We are always available for guidance, or for any questions whatsoever. We typically won't even submit the offer to you, if the company is not up to our standards, which are by far the strictest in the industry.
Finally, once you have agreed on and accepted a final rate from a carrier, we will then dispatch out the order, and we will work in conjunction with you to get the car scheduled for pickup and dropoff. Finally, you pay nothing more than our flat fee until the car arrives at it's final destination. Usually, at that time you will pay the final amount (the trucking rate) directly to the driver in cash or by check. If you need to pay with a credit card, please let us know in advance, and we can arrange that for you.
